Accufusion Inc.
Accurate parts, tools, prototypes, repairs – in one step |
| |
 |
 |
Accufusion is an advanced manufacturing
systems integrator. Accufusion provides products and services utilizing
proprietary Laser Consolidation (LC) technology.
Laser Consolidation was developed and validated by the National
Research Council’s (NRC) Integrated Manufacturing Technologies
Institute (IMTI) in London, Ontario.
Laser Consolidation is a net shape direct metal “3D -printing” process
that builds high value alloy parts and tools directly from CAD.
Laser Consolidation systems produce tools and parts with superior
strength, directly to final dimensions, with excellent surface
finish. Complex shapes are built without forms, moulds, dies
or machining. |
|
| |
Laser Consolidation delivers manufacturing productivity:
- Cost savings: 20-50% in target applications - equipment
pay-out in under 2 years;
-
Faster time to market: High quality parts
direct from CAD - accelerates functional testing;
-
Tooling eliminated: Series production
possible with no tooling investment;
-
Complex parts: Laser Consolidation produces
complex parts otherwise impossible to make;
-
Reduces waste: Laser Consolidation uses
99.5% of materials rather than machining away 90%
-
True just-in-time manufacturing cuts
inventory, transportation, supply chain delays
-
Optimized material: Laser Consolidation
adds high strength alloy features on inexpensive
metals, reduces expensive alloy use;
-
Longer life: Wear surfaces on expensive
tooling repaired with original material, cuts tooling costs.
